Fantastic patisserie. Lemon polenta was excellent and the croissant.. I enjoyed it. Only downside was the coffee was disappointing and disgusting. On a Saturday morning I ordered a flat white. She didnt have a clue it seemed. Seemed like a americano with some milk put ontop.sent it back for a latte. It was better..really was disappointed.. I will go back for the cakes and patisserie but will probably opt for a tea
Superb lemon cake. Nice ambiance. Good service
Lovely place with amazing almond and chocolat croissants! Great atmosphere and very good service with friendly people. A rare place to go for coffee and more.
A very friendly and cozy small cafe. Pastry selection is somewhat limited compared to what you would expect from a french bakery, but very pleasant.
veey nice cakes
Delightful Lemon tart. Good selection of baguettes at lunchtime.
I can’t forget orange gateau from Deux Amis. I will definitely visit around King’s Cross for this taste. Lovely place and sweet patissier.
Excellent for tea and cake
A delight. Not enough bread products for it to be a proper boulangerie sadly. More of a cafe. But you can get fresh baguette.
Adorable welcoming looking cafe with a surprisingly unfriendly staff member. I ordered a sandwich for takeaway and a coffee in a takeaway cup . My 8yo daughter and I had 10min to spare before her football match so we sat down at one of the tables w my coffee only to be approached by a staff member to say condescendingly that “In THIS country if you order something for takeaway you cannot stay” . Shockingly presumptuous as I am English - so most definitely from THIS country. It’s just that I have never been treated in such an unwelcoming manner in THIS country before ( I always get takeaway coffees and never had a problem ). I offered to pay the VAT on the coffee, and the staff member herself admitted that it’s silly at which point even my little girl felt unwelcome so we left . Not a way to encourage regular business on a Saturday morning when the area is rather quiet .
Lovely place to relax. Delicious patisserie
This was a great little place. We had a quick lunch. Obliging staff made baguettes to order and cut them in two so we could share. Lovely coffee as well
Little country style cozy place, with personal service and a smile.
A taste of France - literally. Delightful cafe close to Kings Cross/St Pancras. Small so can fill up quickly at busy times. Very friendly and efficient service.
Wonderful little cafe. The sitting room inside is a little tight. But the food and drinks are excellent for the price!
Small patisserie hidden in plain sight with our favourite Portuguese custard treats.....😍 tea in tea pots good service warm retreat in a winter visit to London morning....
What a gorgeous little gem amidst the hustle and bustle of Kings Cross. Felt like I had entered a cafe in Southern France. The owner immediately made us feel very welcome and the atmosphere was relaxed and cosy. There is a lovely view to the little green area out back. Will definitely be coming back for a peaceful coffee and cake!
Lovely cafe interior, friendly service, great coffee and food.
Lovely little spot for cakes and coffee. Friendly service, and delicious treats!
Excellent coffee, sandwiches and pastries, charming venue and staff. One of my favorite places in London.
Cosy continental atmosphere on a grey wintry afternoon. Not as much choice of pastries as other French patisseries though and if I had read the reviews I would have avoided the coffee.
Delightful pastry shop.
Possibly the best patries in London. Lovely staff. Great coffee. Laptops not hogging tables because there’s no wifi. People actually talk :-)
This was such an adorable and cosy little bakery/shop! They have delicious food (mmm chocolate croissants), various beverages, friendly personnel, and the atmosphere made me want to spend all week eating breakfast there. If you are in the neighbourhood be sure to check it out, and I would recommend the chocolate croissants with some tea. And hopefully next time we can sit outside as they also have a cute little outside part with 2 tables and beautiful chairs.
Very cute, quaint little tea room. Offers a nice selection of pastries and cakes, along with tea and coffee. Small, cosy, about 4 or 5 tables inside. Lovely for groups up to 4 people, as it can get quite cramped. Nice classical music too.
great little place for light lunche, coffee and cakes
The pastries alone are worth the visit! Fresh and delicious even at the end of the afternoon (when I arrived)! I went explicitly because I was tipped off by a colleague of mine. They lived up to my expectations and more. Food aside the atmosphere is also very nice and so is the staff. Will be going back to sample more soon!
Excellent cakes, small patisserie. Come try them!
I've lived in bloomsbury since the 1980s and remember the patisserie opening in the 90s. The bread and cakes are delicious. The lemon polenta cake is just incredible. I'm just glad it's still here after all these years.
Nice food and drink nice ambience and no car noises as well as good selection but the sandwiches are a bit simple 7/10Drink 9/10Dessert is 10/10
Lovely little French cafe near Kings Cross but away from the hustle bustle. The decor is rather twee but sitting inside you could imagine you were in France. They have a fantastic selection of pastries including the best croissants I have had in London (served with tasty jam in a little china pot), as well as lunch options such as baguettes and soup. They also have a small selection of bread to take away. The coffee is very drinkable but for a treat I recommend the hot chocolate. The prices are very reasonable.
Decent but really nothing special.
Just lovely, and my daughter will kill me for posting this, but a lovely impromptu moment together.
The hot chocolate is delicious. And the cakes. Love this place and always feel welcome.
A great place to meet for coffee and something to eat - for example, for two friends for a business meeting, or for a private catch up session.
Yummy cake and coffee.
We had a lovely coffee and a nata. The staff was welcoming. The backyard is lovely. A nice spot of quiet for a little break in a busy city.
Apple pie from here is the best in bloomsbury
Although the road is a bit noisy if you sit outside, this place makes a pleasant change to the chain offerings at the nearby Brunswick Centre - the quiches are good, and a great pot of tea.
The best little gem easy walking distance from Euston, St. Pancras and Kings Cross.
Lovely selection of cakes. Breakfast tea very refreshing. Fentimans soft drinks available. Seating outside at front. Service polite and prompt. Worth a visit.
Peaceful, authentic french patisserie in close proximity to King's cross. Outdoor seating and garden area available. Beautiful cakes, croissants and tart, lovely freshly made coffee and baguettes. Can also take cakes away, boxes provided. Friendly, polite staff with nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend.
Wonderfully cozy shop with delicious baguettes and croissants and fantastic staff!
Best pastries ever! Spinach pinwheels, apricot bars, and amazing chicken and bacon baguette sandwiches cannot be skipped. Cozy - yet never too crowded. Has great service and a cute interior as well! A must have for breakfast.
I've been going here since 1999 - it's small, but amazing!Lovely fresh crusty filled baguettes - same fillings for years, but why mess with perfection? Cakes are superb too. Whenever friends visit from abroad, I always take them here. AAA : )
Lovely quiet place for coffee and a chat.
Expensive, still only cash below 5 pounds. Cookies too sweet.
Told to order as soon as we walked in, choice of pastries and baguettes, already made or done to order, so they could make a plain one for my little one - seemed about the only concession for children really, no small portions offered. Not asked to order drinks, I would have appreciated a glass of water, which I noticed on the way out but didn't know was there. Food was mostly fine, little quiche was very good, disappointed that the brie baguette came with a couple of pieces of lettuce but no other salad or anything. Nothing at all dreadful, I wouldn't warn you away, but not going to rush back there either. There are lots of places in the area to eat, so I'll try somewhere else next time.
Friendly staff and a tasty assortment of sandwiches and cakes. Very cramped on the inside, however.
The staff at the café are very jovial and friendly: they made space for me when they were full and quickly found a larger table when one became available, despite my just drinking coffee and not ordering food. The coffee, on that note, was delicious and reasonably-priced. The décor is cute and this would make a lovely date spot!
